PGNF strongly believes that girl education plays major role in Indian society and strongly supports every right of an adolescent girl at school. Lack of menstrual knowledge, poor access to sanitary products and a non-facilitating school environment can make it difficult for girls to attend school. Inadequate options for menstrual hygiene is the greatest barrier to girl education in India. Menstrual hygiene education, accessible sanitary products, pain relief, and adequate sanitary facilities at school would improve the schooling-experience of adolescent girls in India. We encourage them to break the silence and follow the best menstrual practices at school.
